A kind donation from a fellow member for the crusty Vintage VCR collection.
The Sharp VC2300 is a VHS deck from 1981, sold as a portable VCR, though I’d rather not have lugged this one around. At this time, VCR mechanisms were huge and heavy, utilising a thick steel chassis with lots of solenoids and motors and this one is no different. To further compound this unlike other portables of the time this is not modular, meaning you carry around the tuner, timer and PSU, as well as the lead-acid battery. It comes with the XC-30 colour camera.
