Here we have a Video at Home brochure from 1981. It came as part of a lot of Multi Broadcast Brochures. It looks as if there was some tie-in with MB and Video at Home. Furthermore, it looks as if it was some sort of video club, was it a subsidiary of MB? Please feel free to comment below if you know the answer.
This is one of the MB brochure pages, you will see the ” Video at Home advert”.
Past this brochure page is the full Video at Home catalogue from 1981, showing rental and outright purchase prices. I can remember these prices as around the time I had just recently purchased my first VCR a Ferguson 3V16. I bought some pre-recorded tapes, three stick in my mind, and the cost. The Exorcist £75. Wings over America Live £45. War of the worlds £44. Quite shocking prices by today’s standards.
