I currently have two of these on the bench: a 526 receiver and a 521 amplifier. Both need extensive modification to use silicon output devices as the advanced (at the time) germanium output transistors are a well-known weak point. Very unusual in using a stabilised power supply for the whole amplifier – not just the pre-amplifier.
