Another Bush TV22
Well I went out this morning and came back with a Bush TV 22!
I have the original sales receipt which says its a Bush Televisor model TV22 cost £51 9s purchased on 11 March 1953 with a signature over a 2d stamp.
I of course had a look inside when I got home and found the user instructions inside under an inch of dust! If anyone wants a copy I can scan them.
The inners do not look too bad but I noticed the LOPT seems in a poor shape and someone in the past had been messing around. (see pictures).
The upper deck is a A124(16224) with PL38 and PZ30.
The lower IF deck is a A22(57055) with EF80's.
Has anyone got a circuit diagram for this model please?
There is a Bush service manual in the library and I can supply Trader & R&TS

Hi
Your LOPT looks ok to me, almost all the bush TV22 LOPT's I've seen look like that. There's a thread over on UKVR where I dissected one, surprisingly it still worked afterwards!
Nice set's to work on these are
Regards,
Lloyd.
The loptx in my latest TV22A restoration looks worse than yours but works fine, Malc
This was one of mine that I got going, I've not looked at the other on the to do pile yet

That would be great to store in the Technical Library.

The LOPT is probably fine. You can always tidy the pitch up with a hot soldering iron.
Here is a copy of the TV22 user instructions.
I have a higher res copy (8meg) if I can e mail it to someone to put in library.
pm sent

Thanks to ABC for providing the BUSH TV22 Operating Instructions.
I have reduced this from 8MB to 1.2MB and the quality remains. This is now available in the Technical Library under Television User Manuals.

Sharing large files can be a problem as some users have restrictions on the size of e-mail attachments. Even if you can send the file, there is no guarantee that the recipient can download it!
There is a simple solution, which is to use Dropbox. http://www.dropbox.com
A free account gives you 2GB of secure web space and works in three ways:
first you have the facility to back up essential files in case of disaster
secondly, you can share files between multiple computers automatically
thirdly, you can share individual files to anybody you give the public link to (but they can't 'see' any of your other files).
We both have laptops and there is a desktop upstairs, all of which have Dropbox installed. Any files placed in the Dropbox are automatically synchronised on all three machines and can also be accessed anywhere in the world by logging on to the secure server. We find this very useful on holiday as we sometimes have free internet access on a hotel computer but would otherwise have to pay exorbitant Wifi charges to use our own PC.
My wife has used the file sharing facility to transfer large uncompressed photographic image files to a magazine editor for printing.
It can also be used by small voluntary organisations so that everybody has access to the same information from their own homes, etc. Our daughter has just started using Dropbox in this way for her local church group
I know there must be other similar facilities but I've used this one and found it very useful - and no pestering to upgrade, either!.
At the risk of a plug, if anybody signs up using http://db.tt/aiSQRza they will get an extra 500MB of storage - and so do we!

I hate services like Dropbox.
Serious privacy and security concerns.
I have my own hosting account which is superior, more secure and negligible annual cost.
Hi.
The technical library is our great resource here Terry, pop in a request and once found and downloded its for all registered members to use FOC.
I'm well aware of the technical library, Trevor, and have used it several times - despite its quirky file naming convention!
Downloading files is no problem but members uploading large files for inclusion in the library can have difficulties and it was for that purpose that I was advocating the use of Dropbox.

"Like" Dropbox?
Is this just a global hate of yours or something less generalised?
Can you point to details of any Dropbox specific problems/concerns, please, Michael?
I have yet to hear of any but would be interested to read of any legitimate concerns.
