Early TV good for longevity?

Quite astounding that a couple of Baird's associates have clocked up a ripe old age of 104. Early this year we were treated to the still sharp Paul Reveley recollections.

Today there is a report of another, Andy Andrews, now 104. He was 14 years old when he left school to work as an apprentice engineer with Baird. Read here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-38080275

"Baird was "without a doubt the pioneer of television", according to Catherine Booth, science curator at the National Library of Scotland."

Perhaps a pioneer would be fairer to all the other early developers.

Sadly, the article reports in a footnote that Mr. Andrews died last Monday. It is however wonderful to know they were/are still around even now.
