There is this Ferranti 1505 TV and Radio for sale on ebay, it looks as though the radio has been inserted in a console TV by a chainsaw, terrible looking thing. Is it a genuine production model?
Think I will watch it for the next couple of days, it may just get a bid, I'll be surprised.
Sam.
Yes, that's genuinely how a T1505 looks.
Bet they didn't sell many!
The radio has that old coms set look, it just looks so out of place, as though it wouldn't quite fit in the cabinet so they sawed the doors in half.
I suppose someone will save it and love it, there seems to be nothing missing and the beetle holes are free.
TVs are no longer in my bailiwick but I'll watch to see if it sells tomorrow.
Sam
Well it sold for not a lot considering that its a TV and a separate radio.
The cabinet is bad with damage and worm but it all seems to be complete, tube appears not to be necked.
It would be nice if it turned up on this forum as a restoration. A 67 year old should be treated well.
