I remember the 169 chassis, worked very well and was easy to fix. I don’t remember  a large screen all solid state Pye Mono but know from recent work from Michael they made one but it looked very much like a Phillips chassis.

We sold very few large screen mono sets after about 1975, mostly CTV and portable mono sets.

@michael-dranfield

Today I visited my mate the PYE television collector, and asked him about your TV. He did not recognise the 4378 model number, however, he didn't leave me without anything to go on. He suggested an export chassis, the 273/274 it might be the candidate we're looking for. It is a UHF/VHF model, but as mentioned before, we will only truly know where we stand, when we have a photo of the chassis.

For now to help you, see below the plan views of the 273/274, maybe it matches your set. I've ringed the location of the two IC's, perhaps they are located the same as your set.

IC1 is a TBA480Q (Sound), IC2 is a TBA550q (Video).

Hope this helps, If it is a match I will scan the service info and circuit.

@crustytv many thanks for that, might be a while before I can get back onto this set as I have just taken on a big job for a customer but I will let you know as soon as I can.
