Hi Michael, cost me £5.50 to post. Bung it in a charity box, Malc.

FOC, Ive had them for 30 odd years. Never going to need them now. I hope they get your set up and running, Malc.

Yes it came back to life with only a few basic repairs. The tube is past it's best though normally my reactivator will bring a tube back without actually boosting it, it just overruns the heater and passes a little current through it. Very occasionally I have to hit the boost button which does make it spark in the neck. You can tell if they have been 'done' before. This tube won't spark over when the reactivate button is pressed. The bulb in the booster just lights. I am sure this has been hit before, maybe more than once... The picture is certainly a lot better than it was but it still defocusses and probably won't last.

I was sure I had a 20" mono tube in the loft but it turns out it is a 19" so it won't do. One will hopefully turn up in something scrap eventually but until then it will have to do!
