I went to edit my previous post about boost having realised my faux-pas, however it was too late as you had already pointed it out. Posts can be edited for up to 24 hours unless someone makes a post after yours, this is to maintain thread integrity.

Those two resistors led a very good friend and me a right merry dance, I can tell you steamy_gif

They'd been replaced by a couple of NOS ones that themselves were o/c waa_gif

Phew, thanks everyone. Panic over. There was a dry joint at one end of one of the resistors mentioned - R457.

Normal service is resumed! 🙂

Was this the last full size monochrome TV to be badged as Stella or was there a later all push-button version?

(I already know they made a version of the Philips T-Vette and a G6 color set).

That's a good question. I've not seen a Stella version of the following 210 chassis but unless I'm going mad I'm sure I've seen one wearing an Alba badge. Certainly the Style 70 or the preceding dual standard chassis was available as an Alba (see Which? report Aug '66).

Here's an interesting snippet from "TV at the Shows" in Practical Television November 1968. I'm not claiming the set ever appeared though, I've not been able to find any report of its release in 1969:
