I would like the Ekco T331, but distance is the problem.
distance is the problem
Perhaps consider Shiply, Anyvan or the Forum Courier Service, a solution to that problem.
Distance? In the UK?
What distance?? !
Hard to think of anywhere you couldn't get there and back in a day!
(sorry I'm from Oz!)
I've driven rather long distances for quite a few of the sets I've got ?. but the thing is if you really want something and there's no other option then its a case of just jumping in the car and driving every last tiresome mile. and i'm usually knackered at the best of times anyway..
Cheers
Neil.
I guess if you have to do it, you do it. We just get used to it here.
Melbourne to Sydney is 878km on the M31 and it takes just over 8 hours non-stop.
Having the right car helps. Pity my Lexus IS250 won't hold many TVs!
London to Glasgow is only 600km....!
A Long Way in Oz is Sydney to Perth - 4000km on the A1! I doubt I'd drive that to pick up a TV!
People I know who have done it have put their car on the train and flown back after the experience.
I perhaps should have kept me trap shut or simply have just said that I hope they all go to good homes. All of those set's above are gradually becoming quite rare.
Obviously I would like all of the set's but that is not practical due to limited space I have here.
True, in the grand scheme of things the distance is not really an excuse if you really want something badly enough.
I shall eat humble pie whilst standing in the corner. ?
Some very tempting sets, alas have to stick to 9" sets.
I think its prudent to close this thread, it seems to have generated far too much noise about travelling than interest in the actual subject matter, the TV's kindly offered FOC by Luke. In other words it's gone way off topic.
This does not impact the redistribution of these sets. Anyone interested in any of the TV's offered by Luke, can express interest to him via the Private message system.
Luke can I ask that you update me as and when sets go to other members, I will then mark the sets above accordingly so folk know what's still available.
