Turns out the the replacement R907 was o/c. Another fitted now I can draw a spark from the EHT TX nipple so the 8kV pulse is present, a check on the base of VT503 I now have the LTB oscillating. I will put the modules back in the Fergy 3703 tomorrow and see what other faults we have on screen. At that point I'm going to pause this repair and move on to the M718 as I want to see if that's a viable repair.

I promised myself that before embarking on the Baird M718, I would at least get this Fergy 3703 to the stage where it gives something, anything on screen. After finding R907 was o/c on the beam limiter and replacing it I had the LTB running. This afternoon I reinstalled the PSU and LTB into the Fergy. I had the the 58-65V rail set at around 60V which should ensure when the EHT comes up it will be on the lower side.

Powered up and I had a squished raster but the Fergy lives!!

Feeding in test card F I could see the line speed was off, this was adjusted along with the height and linearity. All sorts of problems to sort out but I'm happy to put this to one side now whilst I get on with the Baird. I will come back to this in due course, for now some pictures until the next time this gets some air time.
