The Telefunken arrived today and is now sitting in the display area, getting to know all its other fellow continentals sets. Here are some preliminary photos.

Items of note;

  1. A bag in the rear with what appears to be the previous power switch, with a repair date of 1992.
  2. I noted a curious array of controls underneath, this flips down and pulls forward, the convergence controls.

Yes, as I told you in numerous posts passim about the 711 chassis on this very forum 😉

You can also fold the RGB panel down flat as well as tilt the chassis up on its runners to gain access to the wiring side of the board.

D'you know, sadly this brings back memories of those pre-WEEE days when I chucked mine into a skip at the tip in Peterborough along with all the other rubbish 😥
