The attachment shows the Baird 8742.   That wooden cabinet stand would I'm sure be an easy one to replicate.

Sets from the 50’s,60’ and 70’s at least there was a choice of cabinet styles, perhaps less so at the end of the 70’s but after that they all started to look the same.

Now I look at them in shops and can see little difference and have to look for the name badge.

Hi Frank, I would hazard a guess that the stand is either unique to the Baird brand or the Thorn Television Rentals group. I've never seen it on the 8500 series sets I used sell and rent out. Alba TC2319, Marconi 4713 etc. These were supplied with the usual four legs with castors stand.
