A 4 hour round trip to collect TVs ? I must be mad but it was worth it to collect this

its a GEC C2100 I haven’t seen one for years used to repair these back in 1972/3 ish been on the lookout since I acquired my GEC C2115 ,

this set uses the familiar 2040 hybrid chassis and has a 22 inch crt looks quite tidy except for a small burn hole in the plastic above the crt left had side I’m sur this can be repaired without too much effort

It always seems that the sets you want are at the other end of the county & impossible to courier deliver.

I've driven hundreds of miles for things numerous times. but if theres something you want and no one can get it to you then theres no other choice but to pick it up yourself if you really must have it ?.

Cheers

Neil.

Very nice TV! Is the melted bit a plastic moulding or some sort of covering like rexine stuck over wood?

I’ve travelled some fair distance to collect stuff before, last one was from Coningsby, Lincolnshire all the way to Colwyn Bay in north wales and back again in one day just to collect an Ekco R.S.3 radio! No way I was trusting that to a courier.

 Regards

Lloyd

Yes the plastic moulding is melter like someone took a blow lamp to the front
