A few pictures of my 8000 set. I know quite a few collectors and none of them have this version, mainly Alba, Ultra and Ferguson. So I guess it's a set that's quite rare.

Hiya Marcus :aad

That's a really lovely set and well worthy of saving. You've probably got the only surviving example there.

Best wishes mate,

Tas

PS: I STILL have the control knobs for it that I got for you from Harpenden a couple of years back. PM me your address and I'll send them to you F.O.C.

I had a good number of these on rental. My only regret I didn't save one but like all the others these sets simply got dumped at the end of their service life. I'm on the lookout for this HMV 8000 CTV. Most interesting variants of the 8000 series are the models with varicap tuning. We know there was a Baird model and I believe a DER model also. Confirmation required.

Thanks old mate :)

I'm back at my parents house in South Yorkshire, where all my old sets are) Will "pm" you later today. I may have a few bits you might require too. CS1830 Doubler and quite a lot of R20XX type transistors, mainly used in BRC3000/ BRC3500 sets.
Kind regards,
Marcus.
