Many moons ago in my Earley career I use to do under guarantee work for ITT so they use to send me free service manuals and technical bullitens, it's such a long time ago now I can't remember all the common problems but changing the small electrolytics in the tuner, If can will cure most problems.

I have a very nice ITT CVC1200 that I fitted a re-gun CRT to in the mid nineties and still use, it only has an RF input, but would be much more useful with baseband inputs. I know ITT sold a conversion kit to dealers but I've not been able to find and details or a circuit diagram, might you have anything ?

Hi, I don't remember anything about a conversion kit but the the 90s is a long time ago!! 

Leave it with me for a couple of days and I will have a look through my ITT stuff and get back to you.

Hi, sorry I don't have any of the conversion details but I have found a couple of references to a conversion which seems to be named omnicron, this is all I can find unfortunately.
