On auction Thursday, Lower Whithington. Looks tidy.

I could buy if anyone is interested.

Sam.

An ITT trimline no less! I think these used the CVC 1100 series chassis.

Just basic manual control, no remote or text on this set, we sold plenty of these as cheap entry level sets back in the late 80's

Nice! When I was at school in the late 90’s there was a building site I walked past to get to and from school, and one day there was a telly very similar to this one in their skip! I managed to talk a couple of friends into giving me a hand, and we went and asked someone in the site if we could have it, and they said yes, and kindly pulled it from the skip for us. Despite there being 2 of us carrying it, we still found it too heavy, so we nicked a trolley from the Co-op and carted it back to my house in that! It was pretty much dead when I plugged it in, nothing on screen, no CRT heaters, and just some faint humming from the speaker, when switching off there was a whistle that lowered in pitch over a couple of seconds. I never did get it going, and it got chucked down the tip when my Dad insisted on getting rid of all my ‘junk’… it was a 20” set with a plain grey cabinet finish.

 Regards

Lloyd

One of the other lots is a nice looking Bush radio.

The 26" version found favour as slung audience monitors at Television Centre many years ago.

Well, that ITT TV sold for £10 + 20% fee. A Bargain?   I don't have room for TVs
