CTV I've been offered a Kriesler 59-01!
Kriesler released their first colour TV in 1974, before the official start date of colour in Oz of 1st March 1975.
I've been wanting to pick up a 59-01 for years. The closest I've got so far is a 59-03 which has the 20AX CRT.
The 59-01 used the A66-140X and the A66-410X (fast warmup) 110 degree deltas in later production.
Kriesler was a high-end manufacturer and their products had a price premium.
The 59-01 was based very much on the Philips K9 but it has many features that were left out of production K9s, such as modulated S correction. As a result the picture quality is about as good as it's possible to get on a CRT.
The reason for the post is, does anyone have a good A66-140X or A66-410X that they could be bribed to part with? The set I'm being offered has a bad gun. Yes I know it'll cost $$$ to get it here!
Thought I'd add "A66-410X" to a reply in case it was missed!
