CTV Metz colour TV.

Does anyone remember the German Metz TV brand? In the 1980s I rented and sold a small number of colour TV sets which proved to be reliable and well liked by customers.
Well, the brand is about to return to the UK, but judging by the low retail prices I can't believe these sets are made in Germany.

I don't remember the brand, but as my CTV collection now features many continental sets from the 70s, I would certainly like to find one. Thanks for bringing the brand to my attention, no surprise, I prefer the Metz of old compared to the LCD abominations the name is now strapped to.
I guess it's similar to the Rediffusion name returning to LCD TVs (and other products), the EKCO name being bought and appearing on modern amps, it's just someone buying the rights to the brand name. I wonder if they think folk of a certain age will be fooled into remembering the brands of yesteryear, and thus buying them. I cannot see how anyone under 30 would be swayed by brand names of the past, they would be meaningless to them.
