Hello, not been on here for a while as job prorities got (and still are) in the way!
However a set that I acquired from Germany a couple of years ago is shortly being hauled onto the bench.
I havent looked at it since I recieved it, but the genuine remote is with it and the stand too.
This is a most unusual set, don't think they were ever sold in the UK. Its basically 4 tv sets in one cabinet!
One main 26" colour screen and 3 seperate B/W screens underneath it!
The idea was clearly aimed at wealthy businessmen who could watch 4 TV channels at once and select the one that caught his eye to be switched to the main colour screen.
There are 4 separate tuners. it must be a complex beast inside. I don't have a manual, but the chap I got it from said it worked fine.
Here is a picture of a similar set. I will post a picture of the actual set soon.
There were some earlier models from 1967 which had Nixie tubes for the channel numbers.
Anyone seen these in the UK, or have I the only one?!
Regards
Paul

Yes, one sold on eBay towards the latter part of 2021, It was in London. As I've been adding a fair few continental sets to my collection, I almost decided I would make the chap an offer he could not refuse, but something made me not, in the closing stages.
I'm glad I didn't for three reasons. 1) it was massive, and I'd only just recently disposed of the Aphelion Behemoth, space was a premium. 2) This worked out well as, just one month later, not one but, two Thorn 4000's turned up on eBay, which I bought. 3) The Nordmende set turned up on our Facebook Group, and had been got at, doubly glad I let it pass.
So there is another.

There was the early version with Nixie tubes at the Bradford Film and Television Museum, but I haven't been there for 20 odd years.
I've always wanted an early one with the wood finish but I may have to settle for building a replica.
