Today, the Pye CTV was connected to the mains, no sound, no vision. All three heater chains are lit it up and so is the CRT. This early colour receiver is unusual in having the CRT heater in series with the valve heaters.
I don't know of any other colour TV receiver that has the tube heaters supplied in this manner.

Earlier this week I was given a Marconi Book on Colour Television 1954 with respect to 405 line NTSC BBC experimental colour. Hope you don't mind me butting in with this.
