Here's a simple little tip which some may not know... When you need to replace the wiper blades on your car, don't throw the old ones away just yet. In the back of the rubber blade there's a thin stainless steel strip. These have a few uses:

Cut them into short lengths & grind the ends to a point to make picks for terminal pins, Bend the end into a loop & use it to fish wire through a hole, Make S hooks to hang small items up in the workshop, etc. I used one along with some stainless mesh to make up a basket for my ultrasonic cleaner.

The cheap plastic wipers on some newer cars don't have these strips but the 'normal' type do.
