[Solved] Subscribe to topic to receive notifications via e-mail

I've been asked recently if there is any other way of finding out if a topic/thread has been responded to, other than using the "Recent posts" link above or the "Recent forum posts" side-bar view.

The answer is yes and no.

Yes you can receive an e-mail notification of an update to a thread, but only if you've made a contribution to the thread. Below the text input area you will see a "Subscribe to this topic" tick box. All you need to do is tick this when you start a thread or post in one. From then on you will receive e-mail notifications of any updates.

No you cannot receive e-mail notification If you've not contributed, your only choice in this situation is to click on the "Recent posts" link up above on the forum nav-bar.
