Posted by: @cathovisorThis'll make it look messy, but Atwater Kent?
You got it Mike! Atwater Kent. This set is a 608. The favourite of my collection!
Posted by: @slidertogridOnly 4 and 6 to go . 4 - is a TV set, but not a Pye... 6 - American sitcom. Not a Frasier.. before that sitcom.
So I wonder if No4 is Ekco but with a Pye dual standard chassis inside.... Like an 11U for instance?
To understand the black art of electronics is to understand witchcraft. Andrew.

Spot on with the chassis it is an 11U... But not a Ekco branded one.

No , Not that upmarket...
I was going to say Ferranti, but British Relay also came to mind as I remember seeing somewhere that the 11U chassis was fitted to some of their sets.

No not Ferranti or British Relay it is possible though that some BR sets did use the same style of knob... Many of this make were rented by Goddards I am told.
All I can think of now is Invicta.

Yep that's it Invicta 7070U. I have owned the set since I was 11.
I also have an Invicta "Gay Cavalier" Which I understand was used extensively by Goddards' as rental sets also 11U chassis. This set came from Neil in Newport years ago! I really must do something with it.
Only number 6 left. Uncommon make. Bakelite radio. Clues are American sitcom before Frasier. The radio is named after the much loved lead character.
I know there was Philco; was there ever a Bilko?
I’ll just get me coat...
Nick
Hang on a minute - I thought no. 6 had been identified as an Ultra T401? As here:
https://www.radios-tv.co.uk/community/general-discussion/identify-the-knob/#post-116332
(the original clue had me thinking "Everybody Loves Raymond")
Oops ! Yes, Mike you are right! I missed the Raymond knob out of the pictures! But yes Raymond is right the programme "Everybody loves Raymond" is on before Frasier in the mornings. Sorry my mistake! Here is a picture of the knob from the Raymond that I missed out! That's them all correct then!
Here are the full pictures. Atwater Kent. KB . RAP . Invicta TV . Tesla. Ultra . Ferguson . And the Raymond that I forgot ! 🙄
Well done everyone!
