Workshop Taylor 45A/C Valve tester
I have recently had a re-occurring problem with one of the wafer selector switches on my Taylor 45C valve tester.
I had previously extricated the 'C' switch and stripped it down, removed some play in the switch - which seemed to have fixed the problem.
Two days ago the switch just jammed up (no apparent reason so far) and needs to be replaced.
When I looked before I couldn't find an 18 way single pole switch as a replacement.
Having searched again I think I have found a UK based company that can supply a suitable replacement.
I am currently awaiting a further reply from the company.
The technical data sheet seems to indicate that the new switch would be a direct replacement - and the dimensions are in imperial units which seems to indicate that it is based on an older designed switch.
I know various people have experienced similar issues with switches on their valve testers so I would like to find out who would be interested in getting replacement switches for their valve testers.
The minimum order quantity is 10, given that there are three of these switches in each tester I don't think that would be a problem.
I still have to finally confirm the suitability of the new switch, but please let me know if you are interested.
I have posted this info on two other forums.
