Tech Chat Autonomous Delivery Robots
In a town not a million miles from me here in Cambridgeshire, I happened to see on the news this rather cute robot delivering food. They have been around for a little while now apparently, but it is the first time I have seen them. I was quite impressed to be honest and if you have not yet seen one, have a look at this....
I want one as a pet ! 😆

Those things wouldn’t last 5 seconds in my old home town of Daventry! You couldn’t leave anything unattended there without someone trying to smash it up or set it on fire, fire being the popular choice…
Regards,
Lloyd
I keep seeing these on facecrook. Honestly don't really understand the point. What's to stop anyone stealing the contents?
Knowing my luck i'd end up driving over one.

For security, the cargo bay is mechanically locked throughout the journey and can be opened only by the recipient with their smartphone app. The location of the robots is tracked, so you know exactly the location of your order and receive a notification at the time of arrival.
In the good old days, boy's on bikes would deliver groceries or people would get off their backsides and walk to the shops.
As much as I like the novelty of these robot's, the idea hardly encourages excercise or social contact.
