Its test equipment time, just recently acquired another piece of B&K kit to join the B&K 467 CRT tester  and B&K 510 Transistor tester, an 830 cap meter.

The 830 dates from 1979, has a 3-½ digit LCD. It auto selects the range with the highest resolution, ten full scale ranges of 199.9 pF - 199.9 uF.

Built in test ports or sockets for fly leads, the latter is provided with a zeroing facility which can compensate for up to 25pF of test lead capacitance.

I ran through the calibration procedure using the 100,000 count Metrix and Briggs capacitance decade to set the voltage rail and capacitance standards.
