If anyone likes the old 78 sound played on the bush, a little video:
Very good. Only one thing is noticeable....the pickup arm needs slight adjustment as it's missing the run-in part of the record....it's landing a little too far in and missing the first seconds of the record. Not sure where the adjustment is on that deck but someone on here will know.
Well done! An excellent job. So what's next?

Rich that has given me the biggest problem throughout the thing is its fine on a 12 inch or LP and that's what it will play if anything. There is a small adjustment screw at the base of the tone arm but it needs tiny adjustments and a mm too far and it's out again by 5 mm on the lead in
The Philips is waiting for me but I've got to get the caps to change them over. The case is done . Oh and the frame for the loop aerial has been started but I've got to get the bits I need for that. Who's idea was it to put Christmas right at the time when I should be buying electric bits and bobs
should the size determining arm not have a sleeve on it?

The cabinet is shining
I had a look at the other forum. There are two with the chrome size sensors.
One has a sleeve on it and is a slightly different sensor arm.
The other is unrestored and I would not be able to vouch for it ever having one fitted.
Cast your eyes over it a little more carefully than I just did.

Some of the later Garrard autochangers have a sleeve but of all the RC80's I've seen none of them have had one so maybe it was a design improvement added later.
