bush tr82b

i have just picked up a bush tr82b in remarkable condition but the dial has gone milky is there any way of curing this  any ideas would help thanks rob t

Sadly probably not  🙁 . You may be able to improve it by using Brasso or Dur-a-glit but most likely the UV in daylight has reacted with the plastic and caused it to go cloudy. As this affects the plastic right through, there is little you can do. The one on mine is also quite brittle and I've had to 'rebuild' the centre hub with Araldite.

Maybe others have ideas for improving the dial.

i have tried brasso ect but no good someone has surgested boiling it in water but im not that brave and you can still see though it at the moment
