Just rescued this set from being thrown in the skip did the HKS method plugged it in & it worked it will need switches & pots cleaning up & wiring will need checking & replaced if needed .What capacitors is the minimum i should replace kind regards Bob

Absolute minimum, you should replace the audio coupling capacitor (0.01uf) which connects to G1 of the OP pentode via a 47k resistor.

If your VHF61 contains small black or brown Hunts capacitors, it might be an idea to replace them as they don't age very well. The VHF61 I restored last year had about a dozen Hunts capacitors and I replaced all of them.
