D|E|R Valve Radio circa 1948
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can identify and point me to a circuit diagram for the DER valve radio which may be model 2216 circa 1948. I have attached a couple of pictures. Cheers.
(To my shame I have no knowledge of DER kit earlier than the Thorn 1400 dual-band TV)
Hi, I believe that to be the same chassis as a Ferguson 238A.
Looks very good. ?

Agree with Andrew.

There are 4 pages of circuit/layout etc on radiomuseum site so down load 3 today and the 4th after 24 hours. The restrictions are in the Terms of that site.

That's a nice looking set there- I prefer that styling to the Ferguson version. Hope I'm not teaching to suck eggs, but beware the wire clips on the Rimlock valve sockets- they can break the locating pip off the valve if not eased carefully. Other than that, I like Rimlocks- low heater consumption, neatly put together and pioneers of miniaturisation this side of the Atlantic. Good luck with the set.
Here's another radio which has similar styling. Made or marketed by a firm Richmond Radio. It was found at a classic car event in Bedale, North Yorkshire only ten miles away from Richmond.
The set is in very poor condition. The chassis is rusty and there is evidence that wee animals have occupied the cabinet.
Till Eulenspiegel.
