A rare request from myself. Looking for the K35 Service manual or at the very least to start with, just the decoder Module Circuit. Typically, I have many Philips manufacturers manuals, everything but that. Checked my red books, but I have a 5-year gap after 82/83 they pick up again in 1989 onwards. Sods law the cct must in that missing window. Can anyone help?

Not sure if it's of any help.....manufacturing dates of Philips have become somewhat hazy since I left there 13 years ago....The K30 MkII with teletext will use pretty much the same decoder. There are a lot of similarities between the K30 MkII and K35. The main difference between the two was RGB interfacing. Easy to tell K30 MkI from MkII, the MkI had a two-chip chroma decoder. The MkII had a single chip decoder but also an interface chip for RGB switching which was also used for switching the teletext. The MkI and MkII boards are not interchangeable. If I remember correctly MkI did not have teletext.

Not a lot to go wrong...the early ones had a socketed decoder chip and the socket used to give problems with odd artefacts on the screen....just solder the chip in directly for a complete cure.

Also K30  used 25xx series chips, whereas the K35 used 35xx series. I need the data to pass to John to help us figure out interfacing it to my Franken-G6-IF/Decoder board.

No picture of the K30 MKI decoder, but here is the RGB module.

The Philips K35 manual now resides in the data library.

K30MkII used a single chip decoder. The teletext version had an extra chip for RGB/Video switching. I'm pretty sure the MkII and K35 decoders were plug-in compatible.
