I have the Ultra manufacturer's service manual. I'll get it scanned, when I have a spare half hour or so. If you're in a hurry, Paul offers it for download here.

If anyone comes across the TR70. I've been looking for one of those for years, it was our kitchen radio I remember as a child.

Some interesting designs in the circuit, the photos are excellent.

Negative feedback in the audio path, and the IF stages requiring neutralising with the earlier transistors. The diode D2 was, if memory serves me right to stop strong signals blocking the signal due to AGC action but willing to be put right if my memory is false.
