Posted by: @helloekcoI've noticed that lack of mention of broadcast frequencies on BBC radio for a long while now, and it irritates the hell out of me
To be honest, I've only noticed it applying to Radio 2: Radio 3 still mentions its frequencies as does Radio 4, although I'd have to listen again to see if LW gets a mention. Don't know about R1 and R5L.

Caught a bit of Radio 4 just now: it is announced as "On 92 to 95 FM, on BBC Sounds and your Smart Speaker". So no mention of either DAB or LW.

I'm surprised that they mention FM, but not DAB!
Radio 5 Live only mention DAB and "your smart speaker", as far as I recall.

Not LW but MW transmitter closures, Talk Sport closing 7 sites by the look of this document.

@nuvistor They look like infill transmitters for where Droitwich and Brookmans Park don't reach and I believe that's been on the cards for over a year now? I'm surprised there's a repeater for it in relatively nearby Boston. The Brookmans Park one is quite powerful (400kW, I believe) which means that we have to be very careful about microphone cable screening at Elstree, even to the extent of earthing the shells of XLR connectors.
Mind you, the hire car I'm driving at the moment doesn't even have an AM radio...

Someone screwed up the time signal where I live! Instead of coming on an an hour later in summer (between 1.00am and 8.00pm) as it normally does, the off-peak is now coming on TWO hours later (between 2.00am and 9.00am). It caught me unawares as the water heater does not adjust automatically so I was paying more than double for hot water until I noticed the discrepancy.
