I've had this CB100, with the Snell and Wilcox a/v interface, since 1984 and it has never gone wrong. Snell and Wilcox knew what they were doing.

@jcdaze They certainly did - I have a fantastic 1U SD standards converter with motion compensation made by them.

Of note is that Mitsubishi never made 110 degree tubes

Ahem, the G chassis?

110 degree delta.

I never knew that Snell & Wilcox started out that way, later merged with Probel and then Quantel to form Snell advanced media (S-A-M), now absorbed by Grass Valley with no UK production or service left.

@mfd70 Probel also absorbed Vistek too. S&W used to be a byword for quality. The opening titles of the BBC Sydney Olympics used their Magic DaVE vision mixers.

@crustytv Thank you for the upload Chris. It has made me realise how unpredictable my memory is. It turns out that the other resistor I was thinking about must be on a later model.

It also reminded me of how awfully drawn the schematics were at that time. It wasn't until the advent of VHS that there were signal overlays printed in colour.

Anyway, it's great to see the decoder again. If only I had kept the training material I created for it. Anyway, it shouldn't take too much effort to reproduce it as parts of it must remain. in my grey matter.

I guess you mean the CT202. You are quite right! It was the in-line slim models that went to 100 degrees. I stand corrected 🙂
