Something I've wondered in recent times; in a studio production with inserts of footage now played out from a server rather than telecine or videotape (which was starting to happen when I was putting together playout/TX systems 20 years ago), does the director in the gallery still say "stand by VT" and "run VT" (like how on computers there is still a floppy disk icon for saving files) or are other terms used these days?

Not entirely: I still hear "run VT"  on occasions - for ages I used to hear "sound off quarter inch" when it was all server-based.

Terms rarely change, but I have started to hear "run EVS" on inserts.
