Hi Chris,

even when logged in, if I click on a username to view their profile I just get taken to the home page, thus:

How have I fouled this up...?

Same here, just tried clicking your name up above and got taken to the home page. Using Safari on iPhone 6s.

No idea what's up for you guys.

  1. I've just tested logged in as admin, works OK Win 10, Firefox and Opera
  2. Tested when logged in as a normal registered user, works OK, Win 10, Firefox and Opera
  3. Tested when logged out as a guest, works OK, Win 10, Firefox and Opera (see below, my dual screen snapshot)
    tested
  4. Tested via my son's PC as guest, works OK, Win 10, Firefox and Chrome
  5. Tested via my sons phone as guest, works OK, Samsung Galaxy and Chrome
  6. Tested via my Samsung phone + Chrome as guest, works OK

 ? ????

Okay, in my case, this is what I see when logged in and logged out, after clicking on "Members" in the drop-down.

Logged in:

Logged out;

I'll go and clear my cache and relevant cookies and report back.

Performed same test here via Samsung Galaxy using Chrome, logged out it works, logged in it works.

Try the same test on yours using an incognito window

That categorically proves it's a local cache problem, not the server. Mobile browsers have a hard cache, you'll not be able to see any change immediately. Using incognito mode by-passes the mobiles hard cache, that's how I know it's a local device problem.

For the record, Chris:

Windows 10 version 1909

Firefox 74.0

And it did it after clearing the cache and cookies.

Chris, just tried it in a "Private window" in FF and got the same result as I did after clearing the cache and cookies - a sort of inverse of what I'd expect to see?

tried it on my Dell tablet in the shed, if I log out, everything works, peoples user profiles load up, but log back in and I get taken to the page shown on the first post. Also tried clearing cookies (can't find where to clear cache?) and still the same. Also using Firefox 74.0 on Win 10 1903.

Ok, found where they hid the clear cache bit, tried it but still no luck!
