Merry Christmas.

 

I got some presents yesterday 😀 these two Sony reel2reel machines from around 1970, and there is 2 more for me from the previous owner but they are from 1973-74 and a little bit smaller.

 

As i can se they record the full videosignal directly on the tape as we known from the philips ldl1000, i think that was tha standard procedure from that time.

Nice. I have the portable version, which reminds me that I need to build a PSU for it.

I believe the format this model uses records just one field per frame and plays it back twice to create a frame.
