Eye eye, don't suppose anyone has a half decent EM34 they would be willing to part with at an affordable price?

Many thanks  wink

In all seriousness Andrew, I'd be looking at buying a piece of test equipment that uses one. Something like a Hunts CRB3 or a Wayne Kerr bridge. Trouble is, all the hi-fi loonies know what to look for and the knowledgeable sellers will have already removed them.

Yes, I see the logic in doing that.  wink

In actual fact, I would find a Hunts CRB3 a useful addition anyway.

That's what I've done in the past. I found an old capacitance bridge at a car boot some time ago. It was only £5 as the seller had no idea what it was and thought it was an old radio...... I already have a Marconi LCR bridge so didn't need another. I was really only interested in the Magic Eye whatever it may be. It was in a bad way inside but had an EM34 which turned out to be very good.....it's now fitted to a Philips 170A radio.
