Ferguson 406T: Field hold

Every time the set is switched on the field hold has to be adjusted and afterwards the field jumps and then settles down every few minutes. There is very little contrast control.
Solution
First replace the PCL82 field timebase valve. Then check the video amplifier PCL84, the video stage components and the EF80 vision i.f. valves for grid-cathode leakage.
