These were one of the worst Philips set I have encountered we sold very few, many rented. Most of them came back, same day after being installed with line faults the 2200uf caps leaked as usual. We used to strap them to the chassis frame and hard wire the terminals to the line PCB.

Just some of the faults encountered were Triplers, convergence drifting (particularly the blue and yellow adjustments), overheating Pots, Tuner drift, sensor touch channel change problems. The only sections which were realistically fault free was the sound and colour decoder. Why could the UK not manufacture a good 110 degree set like the Germans? Having said that these sets must be quite rare, if I saw one now I would have one like a shot to relive the bad times in the workshop.
