Bush TV22: Line fold-over

Lack of line amplitude and fold-over on the left-hand side of the picture established that something was wrong in the line output circuit of one of these models. The e.h.t. voltage was measured and was found to be rather low.

The cause was eventually traced to a leak in the scan coils, a resistance of about 30Ω being measurable between line and field coils. Upon removal and dismantling of the coils, evidence of the breakdown could be seen and the addition of insulation between the two coils cured the fault.
