The Picture and sound on channel 1 both faded
gradually from this receiver so that now there is no picture and only very faint sound. Reception on channel 9 is perfect. I have changed both valves in the tuner unit without improving matters.-D. McKenty

This fault suggests a faulty set of BBC coils and we would advise you to replace them. These are
easily fitted by removing the bottom cover of the tuner.
