Ekco/Ferranti models

The video stabilising resistor  was a common problem in many Ekco and derivatives BW TV, model T368 comes to mind but many others. It is a 27k resistor in these sets and I seem to remember it made the picture very dark but could have caused other faults. The original resistor was a 2 watt type, there was plenty of room in the wired chassis sets to fit the old type dog bone type 3 watt type that usually lasted the service life of the set. It was a resistor that was checked on a service call unless I knew it had been replaced.
