PYE V14

When I advance the volume control, the sound
increases as normal until the mid -way position is
reached when volume drops suddenly. Further
advancing the control again increases sound but with a considerable amount of distortion.
I have checked the volume control, the i.f.
valves and output valve. The fault occurs on
both channels but is more noticeable on BBC.-

capacitor between pin 1 of the PCL83 and the
upper end of the volume control.
