THORN 1500 CHASSIS

The picture on this set is very good, but is slightly dark even
with the brightness at maximum. Is there any way of increasing the brightness level?
First make sure that R115 (3.9M4) which feeds the
tube’s first anode has not increased in value, and that its
decoupling capacitor C82 (0.01µF) is not leaky. If these
components are in order, the brightness can be increased by
adding a high -value resistor between pin 2 (control grid) of
the c.r.t. and the h.t. line.
